To help you in your "going green" quest, we've included some tips on things you can do! Enjoy the ride! Let us know what tips helped you most, and which ones really didn't mean anything at all. We like it when our web site helps you, instead of just looking pretty!

Don't Do The Dishes

Instead of doing the dishes by hand, make sure your dish washer is filled up all the way and let it run. Reader's Digest says that a dishwasher uses 1/3 less water than if you were to wash the dishes by hand.

Cruise Control All the Way

By using cruise control, you can easily improve your MPG by seven percent. (Only use this feture on flat terrain, studies show that using cruise control in hilly terrain uses more gas.)

Cool It Off

Your water heater that is. You should make sure that your water heater's temperature is set to no higher than 120 degrees. This will help the earth, and your wallet! Also, you can save even more energy and carbon by replacing a water heater that is more than 10-15 years old.

Get A Laptop

By replacing your desktop and monitor with an energy efficient laptop, and putting it to sleep when you don't use it, you can save an average of 500 pounds of CO2 a year!

Keep Your Tires Inflated

If you make sure that the tires in your car are full, you can actually improve your MPG by three percent, and by keeping tires inflated, it saves the average driver from creating about 250 pounds of CO2 per year.

Drink Tap Water

Instead of filling up landfills with old water bottles, make sure you try extra hard to drink your own tap water in refillable containers. By doing this we can greatly decrease how much plastic goes into landfills, and really make a big difference in the world.
